Network ACL

AWS Network ACL is the firewall of a Subnet.

They are VPC layer security rules.

  • Stateless: incoming rules are not automatically applied to outbound rules
  • Supports Allow and Deny rules
  • Has inbound and outbound rules
  • Rules are applied in order (lower number goes first)
  • VPC Subnet can only have 1 Network ACL
