Security Group

AWS Security Groups is the firewall of an EC2 Instance.

They are instance layer security rules.

  • Stateful: incoming rules are automatically applied to outgoing rule
  • Allow only rules
  • Default: all rules are denied
  • Has inbound and outbound rules
  • Instance can have multiple Security Groups
